Sheet Composer

The Sheet Composer is DTFPro's visual editor. With it, you position your artworks on a print sheet, adjust sizes and layout, and see the price calculated in real time — before even submitting the order.

It is the ideal tool for making the most of every centimeter of the sheet and getting the best value from your order.

Requirements

  • A portal account and be logged in
  • An active order (draft) with a service selected
  • An up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari)

Opening the Sheet Composer

In your draft order, click Sheet Composer or Open Editor. The editor will open with the workspace representing the print sheet at the dimensions configured by the print shop.

Step by step

1. Choose the sheet dimensions

The print shop configures the available sheet sizes. Select the size that best fits your order from the dimensions selector (e.g. 60 cm × 30 cm, 100 cm × 60 cm).

TIP

Start with a smaller sheet — if you need more space, you can switch to a larger one before saving.

2. Add images to the canvas

You can add your artworks in two ways:

Upload via button:

  1. Click Upload in the toolbar
  2. Select the artwork file (PNG, JPEG, PDF, TIFF, SVG, AI, CDR, EPS)
  3. The image appears on the canvas, ready to position

Drag and drop:

  1. Drag the file from your computer
  2. Drop it directly onto the canvas
  3. The image is inserted where you dropped it

Upload and drag and drop on canvas

3. Position and resize artworks

With an image on the canvas, you can:

  • Move — click and drag the image to any position on the sheet
  • Resize — use the handles (dots) on the corners and edges of the image to adjust the size
  • Maintain proportions — hold Shift while resizing to avoid distorting the image
  • Rotate — use the rotation handle (circular icon above the image) to turn it

WARNING

Avoid overlapping images. Leave a small margin between them (at least 0.5 cm) to make cutting easier during finishing.

4. Arrange multiple artworks on the same sheet

You can add as many artworks as you want to the same sheet. The goal is to fill the sheet as efficiently as possible — empty space on the sheet is paid area that goes to waste.

Sheet with multiple artworks positioned

Organization tips:

  • Place smaller artworks around larger ones to fill the gaps
  • Use the rulers to check that artworks are aligned
  • Drag artworks close together — without overlapping

5. Monitor the price in real time

The side panel automatically shows:

  • Sheet dimensions — width × height in cm
  • Sheet area — total area in m²
  • Applied price tier — which discount level is currently active
  • Estimated price — value calculated in R$ based on the service and area

The calculation updates automatically with every change. Use this information to decide whether adding more artworks is worth it to reach a better price tier.

Side panel with real-time price

  1. When you are happy with the composition, click Save
  2. The composition is saved automatically and linked to your order
  3. A composite image of the sheet is generated and added as an order item
  4. You can return to the Sheet Composer at any time to edit, as long as the order is in Draft status

INFO

The Sheet Composer auto-saves as you work. If your browser closes unexpectedly, your last saved composition will be available when you reopen the editor.

Tips for saving money

  • Maximize coverage: a well-filled sheet can be cheaper than several sheets with lots of empty space
  • Use the Sheet Composer for orders with many small artworks: group prints of similar sizes to fill the area better
  • Watch the price per m² in the side panel: when you reach a higher area tier, the price per m² drops — sometimes adding one extra artwork to cross that threshold is worth it

Common issues

"The editor is slow or freezing"

Very large images (above 20 MB) can slow down the editor. Reduce the file resolution to 300 DPI before importing — sufficient for professional printing.

"The image is distorted when I resize it"

Hold Shift while dragging the resize handles to maintain the original proportions of the image.

"I lost my composition"

The Sheet Composer saves when you click Save. If your browser closed before saving, the last manually saved version will be loaded when you reopen the editor.

"The price in the Sheet Composer is different from the final order total"

The Sheet Composer shows an estimate based on the sheet area. The final order total may include additional fees — such as a pre-check fee (if requested) or a rush fee — which only appear on the order summary screen.

"I cannot open the Sheet Composer"

Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari). If the problem persists, try clearing the browser cache or using a private/incognito window.
